What is a Shark’s Nose edge?

The Shark’s Nose profile has a softly curved leading edge, with the lower section shaped back beneath the worktop. This gives the front a smooth contour while making the visible edge look more slender from certain viewing angles.

It is a distinctive alternative to a straight or bevelled finish. The curved top line and recessed underside suit minimalist kitchens, contemporary islands and handleless cabinetry, where small details can make a noticeable difference to the overall design.

The exact curve and taper are agreed during the worktop specification stage. Please ask our team to confirm whether this finish is suitable for your chosen material and thickness.

How much does it cost?

Optional edge-profile upgrade
£50 extra per linear metre

This is an additional edge-finishing charge on top of the worktop price. VAT treatment will be confirmed in your quotation.

Is this edge right for your kitchen?

Shark’s Nose is a choice for customers looking for a softer front edge and a visually slimmer profile. When requesting a quotation, share your preferred stone, thickness and the lengths you would like finished with this edge so we can confirm the fabrication details.
