What is an Ogee worktop edge?

An Ogee edge is a decorative profile shaped into the exposed front of a stone worktop. Rather than presenting one straight vertical face, it combines a recessed curve with a rounded lower section, creating a sculpted outline.

The change in curvature catches the light along the edge and gives the worktop a more detailed finish. It can complement classic and traditional kitchen cabinetry, while also serving as a feature on an island or breakfast bar where the exposed edge is clearly visible.

Because the profile involves more shaping than a simple bevel or pencil-round finish, the selected stone, thickness and edge layout should be checked before fabrication.

How much does an Ogee edge cost?

Optional edge-profile finish
£75 extra per linear metre

This is an additional edge-finishing charge on top of your kitchen worktop price. VAT treatment and the overall project total will be confirmed in your quotation.
