Concorde Worktop Edge
A streamlined edge profile with a gently tapered underside, giving a stone worktop a lighter, contemporary appearance.

Illustration of a Concorde-style edge. Final appearance depends on the material, thickness and fabrication details.
What is a Concorde edge?
The Concorde profile gives a worktop a defined upper surface with an angled, tapered shape beneath the visible front edge. Instead of a consistently square face, the lower section slopes away to create a more slender-looking outline.
This detail adds visual interest without elaborate decoration. Its clean lines are well suited to contemporary kitchens, particularly where a worktop overhang or island edge will be clearly visible.
Is a Concorde edge right for your kitchen?
The profile can be a good choice if you prefer a slim, architectural look while retaining a substantial stone worktop. The exact taper and available thicknesses should be agreed before fabrication, as suitability varies by material and design.
Concorde edge pricing
The Concorde edge is an optional upgrade charged at £50 per linear metre of edge profiling, in addition to your worktop quotation. VAT treatment and suitability for your chosen material and thickness will be confirmed when quoting.
Plan the finishing details
When requesting your quotation, send us your preferred worktop material, thickness and an approximate length of exposed edge. We can then discuss whether the Concorde profile is appropriate for your project.
